Highlights of Faculty Task Force Recommendations : Summer Appointments

  • Continue guaranteeing summer pay at the same rate as the faculty memberšs academic-year salary.
  • Provide a contractually guaranteed rotation policy in cases where more faculty want to teach than there are available courses.
  • Ensure that those faculty who are expected to continue academic-year duties in the summer (such as departmental committee work and dissertation advising) get paid for them.
