Highlights of Faculty Task Force Recommendations : Nondiscrimination
- Prohibit discrimination based on “sexual orientation,” “ethnic origin,” “medical condition,” “gender identity or expression,” or “political opinions.”
- Protect faculty from harassment as well as discrimination.
- Update the definition of and protections under sexual harassment in light of new court rulings.
- Develop improved investigatory procedures that guarantee due process and protect the rights of all involved.
- Guarantee remedial measures to correct the effects of discrimination or harassment.
- Guarantee that such remedial measures do not adversely affect the faculty member who was the object of discrimination or harassment.
- Guarantee that there can be no reprisal for participation in discrimination or harassment investigations.
