Highlights of Faculty Task Force Recommendations : Leaves

Reorganize and clarify the entire article, so it is easier to understand and use.
Make administering leaves less complicated, confusing, and irregular—ensuring that faculty do not lose money and opportunities unnecessarily.
Paid leave for new parents and generally make UF more “family-friendly.”
Include domestic partners under family medical leave provisions.
Make explicit how leaves can “stop the tenure clock” and guarantee this right to new parents.
Mandate payment to departments to temporarily replace faculty on leave.
Guarantee that faculty cannot be penalized or disadvantaged for taking leave.
