BARGAINING POSITIONS

Beginning in summer 2001, approximately one hundred faculty on nine task forces made recommendations for new provisions to be included in the next Contract. Your Bargaining Team translated these recommendations into formal contract language and then met with each task force to make sure that the contract language accurately captured the task force's intent. In 2002, the task forces granted final approval for each and every proposal in preparation for bargaining, which was scheduled to begin that year. Because bargaining at UF has been delayed, and other state universities have bargained new Contracts in the interim, your Bargaining Team has updated the task-force-approved bargaining positions to include provisions that faculty at other Florida universities have recently obtained.
