Contract Highlights and Ratification Vote

Dear Colleague,

The Collective Bargaining Agreement recently signed between the Faculty Union and the Board of Trustees is now available on the UFF-UF web site [www.uff-uf.org]. I urge you to familiarize yourself with it prior to the ratification vote, which will take place on Tuesday February 16th and Wednesday the 17th from 9-5 at the UF Auditorium.

We have scheduled three meetings at which our negotiators will answer any questions you may have about the agreement:

Wednesday February 3rd 2-3pm (Reitz Union)
Friday February 5th 5-6pm (Dauer 219)
Thursday February 11th 2-3pm (Reitz Union)

Below you will find a summary of the most important provisions of the agreement. It is the first to be negotiated locally, with the special interests and concerns of UF faculty in mind. I hope that upon studying it you will agree that it constitutes a major advance in protecting faculty rights and improving faculty benefits.
