Proposed Lay-offs

As news of the University's substantial reserve of unrestricted funds spreads throughout the community, the Union holds firm to its position that President Machen's proposed faculty layoffs are not necessary. In direct talks, UFF/UF has urged the administration to reconsider this aspect of its Budget Reduction Proposal and will continue to press for a different outcome.
