ABOUT UFF-UF
United Faculty of Florida at the University of Florida (UFF-UF) is the professional association for faculty and professional staff. UF faculty have protected their rights through collective bargaining since the union was first certified in 1976.
Given the politicized nature of higher education in Florida, only a collective bargaining contract can legally guarantee key faculty rights. These include a grievance process that features binding arbitration, guaranteed raises at promotion, and protections against secretive and arbitrary professional and personnel procedures
UFF issues a bimonthly electronic newsletter to keep faculty informed about what is happening at the University of Florida and around the state. For the most recent issue, click here.
UFF-UF is affiliated with UFF state-wide and, in turn, with the Florida Education Association (FEA), the National Education Association (NEA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the AFL-CIO.
